Bridging oral health and systemic disease
As the oral-systemic health connection continues to be the focus of an overwhelming amount of scientific and clinical literature, it is important for medical professionals, therapists, caretakers, and policymakers to stay informed, in order to be a reliable source of information for their patients regarding both oral and systemic health.
AVOLA offers a platform in the form of a series of bi-annual symposia titled “The Oral-Systemic Health Connection”, in order to explore the connections between oral infections and systemic diseases/conditions, incorporating feedback from scientists, practitioners, and policymakers.

Keynote by Prof. Ben Moore
The renowned professor of astrophysics held his fascinating presentation “A journey from the beginning of time to the end of the universe”.
Our symposium was a great success. I also really enjoyed the side-events such as the speakers’ dinner, the one-to-one discussions, or the atmosphere at the KKL. Above all, I am proud to be a member of this association!
